Chow Kit · The Gardens Mall
Australian café culture in two Kuala Lumpur rooms — one on Jalan Kamunting, one on Level 1 of The Gardens Mall.

Made here
Not a sourcing claim — a list. These are the things Tapestry stopped buying in, including one nobody would notice if they hadn’t.
“Inspired by the vibrant café culture of Australia and the broader Australasian region, Tapestry brings together bold, modern flavours with timeless culinary traditions.”
Tapestry
In-house bakes, in-house ferments, portions sized so nothing leaves as waste.
Australasian brunch technique set against a Malaysian pantry — banana emas, tempeh, kaya.
Poured from Eight Ounce Coffee, a fellow WYLD Group brand.
On the pass

Soft-boiled egg, brioche toast, caramelised onions, aged cheddar and sriracha aioli, in a toasted Hawaiian bun.

Dried fruits and walnuts through the loaf rather than sitting on top, with almond butter and pumpkin kaya.

The house latte, poured from Eight Ounce Coffee beans. A flat white sits beside it on the same menu.
Also at Chow Kit: Shakshouka, Mushroom Toast, Truffle Mushroom Orecchiette, Horchata Smoothie Bowl, Buddha Sandwich and Beef Ragout. The two rooms run separate menus.
The Shrub Series
A house range of elevated juice, built on the same syrups the kitchen already makes for everything else.
Fresh and dried red cranberry, black and pink peppercorn, elderflower tonic, soda water, apple cider vinegar.
Celery, cucumber, orange, mint, ginger, baby spinach and green apple.
Citrus rinds coated in sugar and their oils drawn out, into house-made honey orange syrup, ristretto and fresh milk.
“The coffee was good, the french toast was to die for and the egg sandwich was so fluffy. I couldn't fault it.”
Tripadvisor
“The restaurant is beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was chilled. We loved everything about this place.”
